The study investigates how climate variability, macroeconomic conditions, and institutional quality influence cereal yields in fragile states. Economic growth, rainfall, and effective governance were positively associated with cereal yields, whereas inflation, rising temperatures, political instability, and population growth were negatively associated with agricultural productivity. The findings underscore the importance of climate-smart agriculture, sound macroeconomic policies, and strong institutions in improving cereal production and food security in fragile states.
