To the esteemed faculty, dedicated Staff, and students, of Hormuud University, it is with humility and gratitude that I assume the role of Vice-Chancellor of this distinguished university.

Hormuud University has always stood at the forefront of academic excellence in Somalia. This institution is where knowledge meets innovation, where character is shaped alongside competence, and where education is aligned with the needs of the society. We are undertaking huge responsibility to enhance this institution to become one of its kind in the region and in the world.

That responsibility is to prepare the future generation of Somali leaders equipped with intellectual competency, practical skills, and religious as well as ethical foundations necessary to transform the nation.

Our vision is rooted on Islamic epistemology, affirming that all knowledge ultimately comes from Allah and must be pursued with purpose, humility, and integrity. This is why we are committed to ensure that every field of study is guided by ethical principles, and sound values.
