In response to the growing national and regional demand for skilled professionals in biomedical engineering, healthcare technology, and medical device development, Hormuud University officially announces the establishment of the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠.
The department will offer an undergraduate academic program leading to the 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to integrate engineering, science, and healthcare, design and maintain medical equipment, work with healthcare technologies and biomedical systems, and develop technology-based solutions that support healthcare services.
