The first keynote address of HUMC 2026 was delivered virtually by Associate Professor Shiqi Yu, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), Shenzhen, China.
In his keynote, "Human Gait Analysis in Videos: From Human Identification to Healthcare," Professor Yu presented cutting-edge research demonstrating how artificial intelligence and computer vision are transforming human gait analysis for applications in biometric identification, intelligent surveillance, and healthcare. His presentation highlighted the growing impact of AI-driven visual analytics in addressing real-world challenges while advancing interdisciplinary research.
The keynote exemplified the conference's commitment to showcasing innovative research that bridges emerging technologies with practical applications for societal benefit.
