A guest lecture titled “𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝗪𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭: 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐬” was organized by HUSAC, specifically for students of the 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬 & 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 at Hormuud University. The lecture was delivered by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐥𝐢 𝐘𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐡, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Somalia.
The session focused on understanding the concept, structure, challenges, and practical realities of financial markets in emerging economies, while emphasizing the critical role of financial knowledge in driving economic development and building a sustainable financial system.
