Hormuud University’s Faculty of Sharia and Leadership is considered one of the leading academic institutions dedicated to combining authentic Islamic scholarship with the development of young leaders capable of serving society and keeping pace with the demands of the modern era, under the leadership of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Jami Mohamed Hassan.

The Faculty was established in 2019 by a distinguished group of graduates from Zaid bin Thabit Institute, all of whom are memorizers of the Holy Qur’an. Since its establishment, the Faculty has aimed to prepare a generation equipped with sound Islamic knowledge, intellectual awareness, and the ability to lead and create a positive impact within society. To date, the Faculty has graduated four cohorts of male and female students who have demonstrated excellence and competence in the fields of education, da’wah, community service, and professional work.

The Faculty is committed to providing a well-organized educational and moral environment that respects academic and social considerations. For this reason, it is divided into two separate sections: a male students’ section and a female students’ section, ensuring high-quality education and balanced character development.
