Hormuud University has developed a number of partnerships which are geographically spread and culturally diverse.

We recognize that collaborative partnerships provide unique opportunities for students to benefit from higher education, and learn the knowledge and skills required to equip them for the workplace.

Hormuud University is an official member of many International, Regional and local Associations.

HU also partner with community companies like twin Companies, Hormuud Telecom, BuruujConstruction, and real estate Company, Salam Somali Bank, UBC (Coca-Cola) Somalia, BenadirElectric Company (BECO) and Tabaarak ICT solutions.

It was founded on 28 September 1905 in Singapore as the King Edward VII College of Medicine and  on 8th October 1949, it became the University of Malaya with  the merger of the King Edward VII College of Medicine and Raffles College (founded in 1928).

Lincoln University College, Petaling Jaya was established in 2002 as Lincoln College (LC) and upgraded in 2011. Lincoln University College is one of the premier private institutions of higher education approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysian Qualifying Agency (MQA- National Accreditation Board).

International University of Business Agriculture and Technology is also known as is the first non-government university in Bangladesh. It was established in 1991 under the Private University Act 1992. The university is also a full member of Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU),London.

On the 6 October 2021, Head of international Cooperation of HU Mr. Amir Jamal Said and the Director of International Relations, Sharda University, Mr. Ashok Daryani, signed a memorandum of cooperation between Hormuud University and Sharda University.

Tabaarak ICT Service Provider is a privately owned organization that was established in 2007 in Mogadishu the capital city of Somalia. The company provides advanced Technology to its customers. Since its establishment, the company has achieved a leading role in the IT Industry in Somalia, having the potential clients.

Buruuj Construction and Real Estate Company was incorporated in 2009 with the objective of providing a world class construction services as well as ensuring it is within the affordability range of the Somali people-who really are in dire need of affordable housing and office solutions.

This has led to establishment of BECO on the 5th of May 2014 where major electricity companies in Benadir region decided to join forces and unite under one large and more resourceful firm that is capable of offering reliable, sustainable and affordable electricity to the growing market demand.

The banking sector in Somalia is showing a significant paradigm shift away from traditional means of money transfer. Salaam Somali Bank (SSB) bears the critical responsibility of leading the way forward in establishing a stable and dynamic banking system replete with dynamic and cutting-edge products and services. 

The Coca-Cola Company is an American corporation, and manufacturer, retailer, and marketer of nonalcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups. The company is best known for its flagship product Coca-Cola, invented in 1886 by pharmacist John Stith Pemberton in Atlanta, Georgia

We lead Somalia’s telecommunication industry with our state-of-the-art services, which include Mobile service (GSM), landlines and mobile linked internet services (such as Mifi4G, Adsl,W-dsl and Hotspot). We cover Southern and Central regions of Somalia and cater to people’s needs of communication. We are not only known for our reliable and expert services but for our charity too. 

Association of Somali Universities (ASU) is a non-profit organization with a vision of promoting collaboration among Somali universities in the areas of research, quality, standards, innovation and development. The members of the association are the major higher education institutions in the country and it is established to bring together these institutions to work together on issues benefiting to the community at large.

The decision to create the AAU was taken at a meeting of Heads of African Institutions of Higher Education held for this purpose at the University of Khartoum, Sudan in September 1963. The International Association of Universities assisted in planning and making administrative arrangements for this meeting and was invited to cooperate with the Interim Committee that was set up to draft a constitution for the AAU.

It is a licensed association in Turkey No. 5827 and Lebanon No. 640, which deals with the problems of higher education in the world, technicians cooperation frameworks between Arab and international universities, and management of educational and university institutions at all levels.

The Association of Arab Universities, also called the Union of Arab Universities, is an organization working within the framework of the Arab League. It is based in Amman, Jordan. The objective of the organization is to support and connect universities in the Arab world, and to enhance cooperation among them.
